Responsibilities

Essential Duties:

·         Responsible to expand US Ocean Cargo volume—both  imports and exports

·         Creating market research and reporting for both US imports and exports

·         Collaborate with sales team to identify target accounts for ocean cargo expansion

·         Support local branches to increase volume of ocean cargo

·         Lead generation and qualification

·         Build market and product knowledge and help to devise a communication plan to ensure that market intelligence is shared with colleagues

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements, Education, and Experience:

·         Bachelor's degree, or equivalent, in marketing, business administration, economics.

·         Experience in product development, planning, marketing, related to ocean cargo

·         Experience with trade lane management and/or business development

·         Experience working at ocean carriers is especially welcome

Skill Sets Required:

·         Strong market search skills

·         Strong communication skills—must be comfortable speaking with customer directly when required

·         Strong PC Skills with Word, Excel and Power Point.

·         Knowledge of Datamyne, Piers or similar databases.
