Responsibilities

  • Distribute import documents (consolidations/singles) to import agents for processing.
  • Arrange transfers of bonded cargo to final destination 
  • Communicate with customers providing clearance & delivery information and problem solving
  • Coordination with brokerage department and/or warehouse 
  • Prepare customer quotations 
  • Track/trace air cargo, report/update status to customer and advise delivery schedule, fulfill customer requests for deliveries or quotations, dispatch trucking/prepare docs for drivers, issue/send billing invoices for payment receipt, filing previous shipments documents properly (within compliance) into storage for warehouse.

  • Communicate with break bulk team, brokerage, sales, and warehouse for smooth operations.

  • Lead and train the team and assist with any issues that can be resolved before necessary next escalation to Supervisor.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalency certificate or appropriate working experience.
• Approximately 3 years department or industry experience
• Analytical skill (Familiar with logistics concept and planning concept)
• Knowledge of international commerce (sales and payment term, method, customs regulations etc.)
• Knowledge of Consolidator system
• Knowledge of Department of Transportation (DOT), State, Federal and Interstate Commerce commission (ICC) regulation

Reports To Import Supervisor
