Responsibilities

  • Participate in implementing work schedules and ensuring that jobs are assigned effectively and completed properly.
  • Lead and coordinate receipt of inbound shipments, packing requests, outbound shipping
  • Promote an efficient and safe operation
  • Ensure tools and company property are handled and maintained properly
  • Maintain and ensure optimal utilization of space in crating area.
  • Complete all necessary reports in timely and accurate fashion.
  • General business support function as assigned.
  • Leads lower grade subordinate staff.
  • Lead the Warehouse staff by instructing and assisting.
  • Monitors inbound and/or outbound activities.
  • Assist in inventory control.
  • Assist in managing space utilization.
  • Ensures staff is following company policies.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma, equivalency certificate or significant relevant or appropriate working experience.
  • Approximately 3 years department or industry experience.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in warehouse, distribution and/or transportation.
  • Must be able to demonstrate leadership.
  • Knowledge of material handling, warehouse operations and transportation.
  • This position requires that you stand for long periods of time.
  • Must be able to pull, lift and bend. Must be able to lift minimum 20lbs.

Will work with all levels in the organization.
