Responsibilities

Warehouse I Distribution Dept Warehouse Specialist

All necessary assignments in WH

(Assignments related to Ocean & Air Cargo, Cherry Project)

 

General Housekeeping, Maintenance and Special Projects. Compliance for TSA, DOT and US Customs. Report to Manager/Supervisor

 

Primary Assignments:

Warehouse Specialist are responsible for all cargo that is received, shipped, passing through or stored within the facility. Must prioritize daily work, to move the customer's freight safely and efficiently without incident.

 

Basic Overview of Job Responsibilities:

  • Standard warehouse operations (receiving, shipping, load, & unload).
  • Unless otherwise specified - valid driver's license and must operate company vehicles safely.
  • Make sure all cargo, security and safety rules are observed and
  • Ensure all equipment is in safe and working
  • Communicate with immediate supervisor/manager regarding daily and future workloads.
  • Prepare and set up for known future
  • Process proper documentation for all shipments received or
  • Ensure all shipments are released according to the
  • Confirmation and documentation of all piece
  • Document and report discrepancies and/or damage in a timely
  • Receive dispatch calls and input pick-up
  • Pick-up and/or delivery of freight
  • On-handing of export
  • Accurately picking, pulling and packing distribution
  • Accurately report monthly inventory for distribution customer's
  • Notify supervisor/manager when low on supplies for
  • Properly disposing of banker boxes when disposal date has been
  • General housekeeping and light building
  • Equipment and vehicle
  • Must report each item on the "End of Day" list to supervisor/manager at the end of each shift.
  • Dispatching Cherry Trucks under Cherry HQ's instructions during cherry

 

Other Job Expectations:

  • Teamwork- Must work professionally and effectively with key office and operation staff in order to achieve optimal team performance.
  • Observe and follow TSA and other government-mandated cargo handling rules/regulations.
  • Communication/Feedback - Accept feedback willingly; develop and maintain positive working relationships with management, peers and co-workers.
  • Process Improvement - Responsible for identifying and implementing new operations processes that increase efficiency and improve overall performance.
  • Physical work and Forklift driving skills are required. Forklift recertification is required every three years.
  • Other assignments given by a supervisor or manager depending on the needs of the department and other areas of Operation. Also refer to the "Assignment of Special Duties" section at page 7 of the Employee Handbook. Your future assignments will depend on the needs of the department, your performance and capabilities.

Pay Rate Range: $58,656-$60,000/annually
