• Handle phone calls and emails from customers and respond in a timely and professional manner
• Prepare export shipments for assigned customers. This may include customs clearance, shipping, labeling, and distribution of cargo.
• Generate delivery orders and shipping labels as needed and other documents such as HAWB, Invoice, Manifest, etc.
• Coordinate pickup and delivery orders with trucking companies, airlines, steamship line and/or other facilities in order to obtain necessary information in order to process shipments in the best way.
• Filing and data entry.
• General business support function as needed and other duties assigned by the Office Manager
• Work schedule is Monday - Friday from 9:30am - 6pm with occasional overtime as needed to meet the business demands
• This position is a temporary assignment for 6 months and may be extended depending on the business need
• Hourly Pay Range: $19/hour -$21/hour. This range is a good faith estimate of the expected salary range for this position, based on a wide range of factors including qualifications, experience and training, operational and business needs and other considerations permitted by law.  At NEU, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for the role.

Minimum Requirements, Education, and Experience:

• High school diploma or equivalency certificate or significant or relevant or appropriate working experience.
• Strong Computer skills including Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel and data entry 
• Some knowledge of general and Export Computer application technology desirable
• Some knowledge of international commerce (sales and payment term, method, customs regulations etc.)

Organization Relationships:

Will work with all levels in the organization and will report to the Office Manager.
