Purpose

Perform product functions, including picking, packing, shipping, receiving, etc. to meet company quality, safety, security, and productivity standards.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for assisting the Senior Supervisor in directing and supervising the warehouse operations
  • Coordinate and lead warehouse activities on a daily basis.  Under the direction of Warehouse operation management, he/she is responsible for the receiving, warehousing, and shipping of product within the Company’s service and cost objectives
  • Participate in implementing work schedules and ensuring that jobs are assigned effectively and completed properly
  • Lead and coordinate unloading and stacking of inbound shipments. 
  • Promote the efficient and safe operation of product handling equipment
  • Maintain product location system and ensure optimal utilization of space through warehouse consolidation.
  • Complete all necessary reports in timely and accurate fashion
  • General business support function as assigned
  • Lead lower grade subordinate staff
  • Perform all daily job functions required of a Warehouse worker/Checker such as storing, packing, picking, shipping and receiving.
  • Lead he warehouse staff by instructing and assisting
  • Monitors inbound and/or outbound activities
  • Assist in inventory control
  • Assist in managing space utilization
  • Ensures staff is in compliance with company policies
  • Trains Staff

 

 

Salary Pay Range: $24.00 - $26.00 per hour. This range is a good faith estimate of the expected salary range for this position, based on a wide range of factors including qualifications, experience and training, operational and business needs and other considerations permitted by law.  At NEU, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for the role.

Qualifications

 

  • Basic knowledge of routine warehouse practices and procedures

Organization Relationships

  • This position will interact with all levels of employees at the branch, including colleagues, leadership staff, and office personnel.

 

Work Environment

  • This position requires physical demands to include, but not limited to standing, walking, sitting, bending, twisting, reaching, lifting, pushing, pulling, climbing, and carrying heavy objects repeatedly.
  • Warehouse environment may be noisy and subject to varying temperatures.
  • Will work alongside drivers who are moving pallets on different types of forklifts.
