Warehouse Supervisor will manage and oversee all warehouse activities, ensure efficient processes, and maximize warehouse productivity. The Warehouse Supervisor's responsibilities include supervising employees, coordinating logistical processes, ensuring the quality of goods, and preparing relevant documentation.  Assigning, directing and monitoring work of the Warehouse staff to ensure effective customer service, quality & compliance, positive employee relations, safety & security.

This salary range is a good faith estimate of the expected salary range for this position, based on a wide range of factors including qualifications, experience and training, operational and business needs and other considerations permitted by law.  At NEU, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for the role.

 

Responsibilities

Communicate with customers, related authorities and agencies and internally within NEU.

 

Supervise and directs warehouse staff in performing work according to sound warehouse operating principles and procedures, compliance with applicable government regulations, company policies and procedures.

 

Prepare and implement the function target and plan based on branch/department target and plan and makes recommendation regarding personnel decision in the function.

 

Develops among assigned personnel a consciousness for the need for team work to attain department objectives.

 

Reviews daily production schedule for the department to plan work and personnel assignments for the shift.

 

Anticipates and determines causes of delays in shift operations and takes appropriate action to meet shipping schedules.

 

Reports promptly to department managers and production planning department when delays occur, estimates time of delay and when operations will be resumed.

 

Directs personnel in the receipt of materials and supplies against quantities ordered and quality of specifications and advises purchasing department of deviations.

Prepares required forms for shift and leaves for department manager's approval.

 

With supervisors and appropriate staff personnel, studies operations where cost standards are not being met to determine causes and apply corrective measures.

Applies company employee relations policies in all dealings with employees.

Qualifications

To perform this job successfully, must have 3-5 years in a warehouse manager environment.

 

Ability to effectively present information and respond questions from groups of managers, and clients.

 

Must have previous experience with positions that oversee a high level of detail and quality.

Possess a sense of urgency, and accountability. Experience with WMS, Excel, Word, Analytical skill (Familiar with logistics concept and planning concept).

 

Excellent supervisory and organizational skills.

 

Strong teamwork skills and inclination.

 

Strong communications skill.

 

Process improvement experience.

 

Influencing skills in a matrix environment.

 

Ability to understand, develop and maintain multi-cultural relationships.

 

This position will interact with branch colleagues, leadership staff, and office /warehouse personnel. Must be able to work with customers, vendors, and outside organizations.

 

Work Environment:
