Responsibilities

Job Description:

As a Warehouse Trainer at Nippon Express Huntsville Warehouse, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that our warehouse associates are well-trained and equipped to perform their duties efficiently and safely. You will be responsible for developing and delivering comprehensive training programs, auditing training effectiveness, and ensuring compliance with safety standards. Your primary goal will be to enhance the skills and knowledge of our workforce, contributing to the overall productivity and safety of our operations.

Coordinate 5-Day Training Programs:

Develop and implement a structured 5-day training program for new warehouse associates, covering all essential aspects of warehouse operations.

Conduct Training Classes:

Deliver engaging and informative training sessions for both large and small groups, ensuring that all participants understand the material and can apply it in their daily tasks.

Audit Training Programs:

Regularly review and audit the effectiveness of training programs, making necessary adjustments to improve content and delivery methods.

Coordinate Facility Safety Trainings:

Organize and conduct facility safety training sessions, ensuring that all employees are aware of and adhere to safety protocols and procedures.

Develop Training Materials:

Create and update training materials, including manuals, presentations, and handouts, to ensure they are current and relevant.

Monitor and Evaluate Trainee Performance:

Assess the performance of trainees through observations, tests, and feedback, providing additional support and coaching as needed.

Maintain Training Records:

Keep accurate records of all training activities, including attendance, test results, and feedback, to ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.

Collaborate with Management:

Work closely with warehouse management to identify training needs, develop training schedules, and ensure that training programs align with operational goals and objectives.

 

Qualifications

 

Proven experience as a trainer or similar role, preferably in a warehouse or logistics environment.

Strong knowledge of warehouse operations and safety protocols.

Excellent communication and presentation skills.

Ability to engage and motivate trainees.

Strong organizational and time-management skills.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

Certification in training or safety (e.g., OSHA) is a plus.

Organization Relationships:

This position will interact with branch colleagues, leadership staff, and office /warehouse personnel. Must be able to work with customers, vendors, and outside organizations.
