Warehouse Supervisor will manage and oversee all warehouse activities, ensure efficient processes, and maximize warehouse productivity. The Warehouse Supervisor's responsibilities include supervising employees, coordinating logistical processes, ensuring the quality of goods, and preparing relevant documentation.  Assigning, directing and monitoring work of the Warehouse staff to ensure effective customer service, quality & compliance, positive employee relations, safety & security.

 

Responsibilities

Primary Duties:

 

  • Supervise, train, mentor, and motivate a team of up to 20 warehouse associates on the 2nd shift, fostering an environment of growth and continuous improvement.
  • Effectively manage and coordinate multiple sub-teams, delegating tasks and responsibilities to team leaders while providing guidance and oversight.
  • Oversee all 2nd shift warehouse operations, including receiving, put-away, picking, packing, shipping, and inventory control for automotive parts.
  • Ensure the accurate and efficient flow of products, maintaining high standards of productivity and quality.
  • Implement and enforce all company safety policies and procedures, promoting a safe working environment and ensuring compliance with OSHA regulations.
  • Manage inventory accuracy through regular cycle counts and adherence to established inventory control procedures.
  • Utilize an analytical mindset to optimize processes and resource allocation to maximize efficiency and space utilization.
  • Operate and oversee the safe use of various material handling equipment, such as forklifts and pallet jacks.
  • Collaborate effectively with other shift supervisors and management to ensure operational consistency and achievement of organizational goals.
  • Proactively identify and resolve operational issues, employee concerns, and process bottlenecks through a problem-solving approach, demonstrating strong independent judgment.
  • Generate, analyze, and interpret operational reports and Key Performance Indicator (KPI) metrics to track performance, identify trends, make data-driven decisions, and recommend actionable improvements.

 

 

2nd Shift Position 3:30pm-12:00am

Salary Range- $55,000-$65,000

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of proven, progressive leadership experience in a warehouse or distribution center environment, with a strong emphasis on successfully leading and growing teams of up to 20 individuals, including experience managing through team leaders.
  • Demonstrated ability to work autonomously, make sound independent decisions, and consistently achieve objectives with minimal supervision and managerial oversight.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills with a proven track record of relating to, coaching, and developing team members.
  • Proven problem-solving abilities and a strong analytical mindset, with a solid understanding of KPI metrics and the ability to analyze data for effective decision-making.
  • Experience in an automotive parts distribution setting is highly preferred.
  • Strong understanding of warehouse operations, inventory management principles, and supply chain logistics.
  • Proficiency with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
  • Excellent communication (verbal and written), organizational, and leadership skills.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand/walk for extended periods.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field is a plus.

Organization Relationships:

This position will interact with branch colleagues, leadership staff, and office /warehouse personnel. Must be able to work with customers, vendors, and outside organizations.

 

Work Environment:

(With or without accommodations) This position is working in office, using computers, entering data in our Warehouse Management System and being in the warehouse standing for several hours a day.
